About us

We provide online and in-person counselling for people experiencing emotional distress, low mood, anxiety, stress, or challenges arising from life events and circumstances.

Our team of counsellors come from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds, bringing a breadth of perspectives to support clients from all walks of life. Counselling offers a safe and supportive space to talk, reflect, and make sense of your experiences, guided by trained professionals. We offer both short-term and open-ended counselling, tailored to your needs and preferences.

Harmonia Counselling Practice is committed to working ethically and sustainably. All counselling is professionally supervised and delivered in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring the highest standards of care and client safety.

Who we work with

We work with adults aged 18 and over who are seeking counselling and mental health support. Access to counselling is subject to availability and current capacity.

What to expect

All clients begin with an initial assessment appointment, where we take the time to understand your needs and what you hope to achieve from counselling. After this, you will usually be matched with a counsellor suited to your goals and preferences.

We offer counselling for a range of lengths, from short-term work to open-ended support, depending on what works best for you. Sessions are 50 minutes long and can be scheduled during the day or evening, Monday to Friday, to fit around your availability.

Counselling can take place in our welcoming and accessible counselling room in Bethnal Green, or online, whichever feels most comfortable for you.

Fees

We offer a sliding fee scale designed to make counselling as accessible as possible. Fees are based on income, and contributions at the higher end of the scale help subsidise counselling for those on low or no income. Clients are charged for their assessment at the same rate as their counselling. Fees are reviewed annually to ensure fairness and sustainability.

Harmonia Counselling Practice is independent of the NHS and does not receive statutory funding.
